There are many situations in which you may be unable to login to your College of Engineering account. Here is a list of common problems and their respective solutions:
My account is going to expire.
We send out notifications at 30 days, 2 weeks, 1 week, and 1 day before account expiration. This gives you time to contact the ECI Help desk at email@example.com to request an extension.
My account has expired.
After the account expires, the account and the data are kept on our servers for 6 months after expiration for undergraduate guests and 1 year for everyone else. We do this so that you can email the ECI Help Desk to request either access to the data or to reactivate the account if you are still affiliated with the college. After this interm period, the account and the data are deleted permanently from our system.
I can't remember my username.
Email help desk at firstname.lastname@example.org
I can't remember my password.
To reset your password, please visit the College of Engineering forgot password page. If you set your account up to enable password resets, you'll be able to reset your password by following the instructions there.
If this doesn't work, you'll need to visit the Help Desk located in Harold Frank Hall, room 1140E. Please bring a picture ID.
I can't login because I'm over my quota.

I can't log in because _________.
Email the ECI Help Desk at email@example.com and describe your issue in as much detail as possible.
I can't create an account and I'm an extension student.
Because extension operates separately from the registrar, the College of Engineering does not have access to their records. Extension students needing an account can email firstname.lastname@example.org to request one. In this email, you should include a scan of your extension receipt.
I can't create an account and I'm a faculty/staff/guest.
All Faculty and staff members that need access to the College of Engineering network will receive invitations, which are created and sent by any CoE staff member. You can request one here.
I can't create an account and I'm a regular student.
To create a College of Engineering Account, you can use your UCSBNetID and Password right here. If you do not know or forgot one of these, please go to the UCSB Identity Manager page with your Perm number and follow all on-screen instructions.
Alternatively, if you have tried the process listed above, you can try requesting an account from the ECI Help Desk through email at email@example.com.
I am one of the above and I still can't create an account.
